hello...
Hello! My name is Miss Shannon and this will be my 5th year teaching at CPS. After teaching kindergarten for several years, I transferred to third grade and I am loving it! Although my years teaching kindergarten were some of my favorite times, third grade is a great year! This is the year where your student becomes more independent and vested in their learning. They begin experimenting in science, manipulating numbers, comparing fractions, multiplying and dividing in math, conducting research, further developing their writing and so, so much more. It is a year of hard work and perseverance and of course a whole lot of fun! Meaningful friendships are established amongst students and they learn how to work together and collaborate on a variety of projects. I am excited for the upcoming school year and looking forward to working with you and your child! Please continue to scroll down and have fun exploring our class site :)
